The World According to The Horrell's: Another crazy weekend!

If it's not a non-stop whirlwind weekend, it's not a Horrell weekend! In fact this weekend could have been entitled "The weekend of water!" It started Friday with water fun with Lincoln. It started at Espee Park, where they have a pretty cool splash pad for the kids to play at. We showed up about a half an hour after Lincoln, and by the time we got there Lincoln was ready for something new. So we decided to get lunch and go back to our house for some sprinkler fun. Taya and I both found it odd that our kids were asking for lunch at 10:30, but the finicky mind of a 2 year old is not one to be analyzed. It was actually nice for us to sit back and let them play in the water without having to worry about what random child is beating on ours, and trying to figure out which "it couldn't be my kid's fault" parent that kid belongs to.

Saturday was a blast! We had not one, but two parties to go to! And both parties contained the word "pool" in them. Party #1-Mitchell's Birthday Pool Party. Mitchell is the neighbor boy so this one was pretty much a neighborhood affair. Swimming with Bubba is always fun. But this day held a unexpected special treat. Sara loves to jump off diving boards, and was thoroughly disappointed when the diving board didn't make it. Yes-it was a tragedy (and hilarious to watch), but the diving board could not withstand the sheer power of Uncle Seth (Preston's daddy). Unfortunately the board didn't make, fortunately noone was hurt, and we'd all like to thank Uncle Seth for the good laugh at his expense. What a good sport! After some yummy cake it was home for a nap to prepare for party number two. Party #2-BBQ and Pool Party at the Naujokaitis house. Courtney is a wonderful and very dear friend of mine that I worked with at Frye Elementary. She is the closest thing to me, that I have found. Her and her husband Mike have 6 month old Kaden, who is absolutely adorable. This party was purely for relaxing. Sara played with Jordan (8) and Kaden and was exhausted by the time we headed home. It was so wonderful to see Courtney and her little family and friends.

We wouldn't stop the swimming there! Sunday was family day in the morning. Daddy and Sara did their Sunday morning breakfast and shopping excursion, while Mommy slept in. Oh boy did I sleep in. My lazy butt rolled outta bed at 10:15!!!!! Just in time for lunch, right! Then it was shopping for new sheets for the new and glorious bed, and lunch at Jason's Deli (one of our favorites!) After a meltdown and a nap it was off to the Fiedler's for dinner and swimming...of course. Sara and Charlie are great friends. As are we with his parents, Tom and Katie. Seth and Tom have worked together on and off for just about 10 years now. They are both currently at Honeywell Aerospace--together again! Sara not only had a blast swimming with Charlie, but also cuddling with his baby brother Tommy. Sara is a baby freak!!! I seriously think she's ready for babysitting...at least she thinks she's ready.

And now it's time to sit on the couch and veg out. I hope you all had a wet and wild weekend-just as the Horrell's did!
